Christmas 2007

Sophie had her second Christmas just a few days after her first birthday. She took her first solo steps on Christmas day 2007. We had no idea at the time that our lives were just starting to get interesting.

Sophie Turns One!!

Sophie turned one on December 14, 2007. We had her a birthday party at our church at the time. She was surrounded by friends and family, and she got way to many toys! If I had only known then that it only gets worse!! :-)

Summer 2007

I wanted to add some random photos from Sophie's first year. I really wish that I

had started this blog when she was born. I have a lot of catching up to do in order to show a little of her first three years! This first picture is one from her first and only camping trip. We went in a pop up camper, and it was in the middle of the summer! It was miserably hot. Sophie also had her first boat ride during this camping trip!

Sophie spent several days in the swimming pool. She loved to carried around in the water by her daddy! I have to admit that buying swimming suits for her is a weakness for me. I still buy her several each summer.

Sophie's First Easter

Sophie's first Easter is one of the few times that a picture was taken with Chad, Sophie, and myself. I have to admit that I am horrible when it comes to getting pictures of all three of us (now all four of us). I really hope to be better at that in the future.

Sophie's First Summer

Sophie's first summer was full of the outdoors. We took her camping once! We haven't attempted that task again! She spent time in the pool for the first time. She loves the water. It makes me laught to look back at just how chubby her face really was. She has changed so much and really slimmed up!

Sophie Marie Edgil

Sophie was born on December 14, 2006 at St. Vincent's hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. John Edwards delivered her at 1:46 PM. She weighed 7 pounds 5 ounces. Her delivery was scheduled, and it was incredible to watch her daddy fall in love with her instantly. There are no words to describe the miracle that is having a child. Sophie continues to amaze us and enrich our lives every single day.
